Ansh Rathore, a 19-year-old with 80% disability due to cerebral palsy, has depended on conventional AFOs since childhood. Over the years, his family faced constant challenges—discomfort due to poor fit, high costs, and long waiting times for replacements. These struggles inspired his father, Dr. Manohar Singh, to look for a transformative solution. The answer was 3D printing, which enables faster, affordable, and highly customized AFOs tailored to individual needs. To make this vision a reality, Dr. Singh even completed his PhD in 3D printing, turning a personal challenge into a research-backed innovation with potential to benefit many others.
